Watchmen’s 45% Rotten Tomatoes Audience Score and Low Ratings Blamed on the Fans

The Watchmen and Joker have more in common other than being DC properties. They have split the audience and the critics once again, and once again the audience is the only one with any credibility. The hypocrisy is so blatant that critics have permanently turned into HypoCritics. Damon Lindelof (Bad Robot) made a show for them and they are taking to it like a duck to water. Too bad no one is watching the Watchmen. I compare the review of the critics who liked Watchmen and didn’t liked Joker. Interestingly enough Joker just lost its certified fresh rating on RT.

    1. I have literally hated the first two episodes for the forced politics and the now-common, general mishmash of woke BS…was ready to quit the series as a destructive travesty that is ruining the material… BUT, have to say episode 3 has me reevaluating and actually hopeful that maybe things are taking a turn for the better. I enjoyed episode 3 and its strong source material ties, integrating and filling in necessary WTF blanks that have had many of us thinking this is all unbound nonsense with no reference to the base cannon. Here’s to hoping that we were head-faked by a misguided direction and choices made for the first episode.

  1. Gary, I loved the Watchmen comic and movie was ok so I’m TRYING to give this show a chance. But shit, I can’t figure out what’s going on here. It’s just a mismatch of ideas without a flow. I know the previous stories but even I can barely follow it. What’s going on? No idea. Also Rorshach wasn’t a racist. Why are the confusing new fans and old fans by making his new followers Klan killers. Strange…. anyway I will muscle through a few more episodes to see if there is a point.

  2. Joker was ok, not great, but not bad. Watchmen has got me intrigued, so I’m giving it a chance. If you don’t like, don’t watch it. Simple as that. I know negativity is your bread and butter, but shitting on something before the story is done is proof that you are just negative for the sake of ad revenue. If it doesn’t stick the landing at the end, I will admit to as much, but to shit before it even airs is just a shitty work ethic.
